DAVE FLAY Music Preparation/ Copying

      I am a professional freelance musical copyist, having worked in the field of music preparation for almost 35 years. I use Finale 2008/ Sibelius software using either standard music or "hand-written" fonts (see samples). If preferred, the music can actually be hand-written. My fees are based on the UK Musicians Union minimum rates. Please contact me for a quotation.

Music to be copied can be sent to me in many forms:

  • Hand-written scores (by post or fax) for extraction of parts
  • Computer generated score          ........ditto..........
  • Midi-files*
  • Sets of charts for re-copying (transposition or just "tidying up")

Your copied music/score/extracted parts can be returned to you as:

  • Laser printed A3/A4 pages
  • Adobe Acrobat .pdf files
  • EPS

* Usually, the production of a score/ extracted parts from midi-files requires a certain amount of orchestration. Prices for this type of work will take this into account. It would probably be best to email me a copy of the file for a quotation.
